Thursday’s Devotional

John 6:35 kjv
“And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.”

Inspiration
There are times we feel a hunger or longing in our soul. We go through our days searching for peace, contentment, and happiness not coming to the understanding that Jesus feeds our hunger and thirsty soul. For myself, I can get busy and fail to talk to the Lord or study His Word the way I should; I then begin to feel this restlessness in my spirit. Anytime I find myself feeling this way if go to the Lord and spend time with Him I always feel as though a burden has been lifted. I have a sense of peace I cannot find anywhere else. Jesus said, “I am the bread of life, come to me and you will never spiritually hunger or thirst again.” My friends, if He is not your go to I encourage you to make time for Him, invite Him into your heart, talk to Him, listen to Him with your heart and I know He will fill all the empty place in your heart and life.

Prayer
Father in heaven, I come to You for a filling today. I know You are the bread of life for me and the whole world. Fill every empty place in our heart and soul, giving us a sense of peace that can only come from a relationship with You. Let Your Holy Spirit flow into us dispelling every spot of darkness and emptiness, leaving us with a sense of contentment and purpose. We love You and we need You every minute of every day. We give You honor, praise, and glory! In Jesus Name, Amen
