Monday’s Devotional

Monday’s Devotional
Jeremiah 22:8-9 kjv
And many nations shall pass by this city, and they shall say every man to his neighbour, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this great city? Then they shall answer, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD their God, and worshipped other gods, and served them.
2 Chronicles 7:14 kjv
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

God gives us many chances and He warns us just as He did Judah of what would happen if we continue to be disobedient. Our nation and much of our world today continue to disobey God. Just as Judah faced destruction we also will face destruction if we do not turn back to God and His laws. God will hear our cry if we will humble ourselves before Him and seek Him with our whole heart.

Heavenly Father, we come to you with humble hearts, please hear our cryand forgive us of our sins Help us as your people to be lights for You in a world filled with evil and destruction. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit and guide us. Give us strength to stand and worship You even when we are being pressed from all sides. In Jesus Precious Name! Amen
